International Autos
Another fun eight weeks of test-driving fantastic cars from International Autos...check back each week for pictures and reviews of each of these beautiful machines.
WEEK TWO: MINI Clubman

It's a bigger MINI!
I know it sounds funny, BIGGER MINI, like JUMBO SHRIMP...but that's exactly what the Clubman is...

It has all the things I like about the MINI, just with more space inside. This Clubman is the "S" version as well, featuring more horesepower with better pop off the line. The Clubman is every bit as fun to drive as the regular MINI also, with paddle shifters on the steering column of this automatic.
Besides the added space, a big change comes in back, where there is no hatchback door to lift!
They've gone to a panel-truck type set of doors that easily open and close, giving you access to all that added room with the rear seats dropped. Take a look...

More later...driving now...
WEEK ONE: Mercedes-Benz SL 500

Damn this SL is HOT!
It's time for convertible fun, and in my book, there is no drop-top sexier than this one.
The SL 500 features a retractable hard top. One button and it tucks up and away in the trunk, still leaving plenty of room in there for a couple of bags.

Then there is another button to power up a rollbar and wind screen behind your head. These guys have thought of everything!

Over 300 hp is sent growling through a sweet-sounding exhaust system too.
One-touch 'sport-button' stiffens the suspension and reduces body roll too, because this SL 500 is more than a pretty face, it performs too.
This is a "Mercedes Certified" 2005 SL too. Tell me that doesn't look like it is showroom new!
Don't buy this car. I want it.
Blast from the past...
